# Overview

> What PowerApps Build Mode requires before it will run, and which changes it applies directly.

Build Mode is where configuration reaches your Dataverse environment. It becomes available once an environment is connected.

What it applies directly is narrower here than on the other platforms. Schema, forms, views, the sitemap, solutions, and business rules are applied; security roles, Power Automate flows, and form JavaScript are specified for you to apply.
