# BD & Pre-Sales Usage Guide

> Using the platform before a contract exists: what a solicitation alone is enough to produce, and what to show a client.

Pre-sales is the one setting where the platform is used without a signed engagement behind it, and that changes what is worth generating. A solicitation on its own is enough to produce a blueprint, which means a response can be grounded in a real specification rather than a narrative written from scratch.

Two things make this work in a bid. A blueprint can be shared with people who have no account, so a client or partner can read the specification you are proposing. And [Prototype Mode](/web-apps/prototype-mode/overview) produces something clickable without building anything real, which is a stronger demo than slides at a fraction of the effort.

<Note>
  This page is a placeholder for the fuller guide. The worked pre-sales sequence, including what to generate in what order for a first client conversation, is still to be written.
