This path is for contractors and integrators pursuing a government contract. BlueGenAI lets you generate a working prototype of the proposed solution, produce proposal artifacts, and create procurement documents — all directly from the solicitation materials, before a single line of production code is written.
A polished prototype of one key workflow is more impactful than a rough draft of an entire system. Start focused — the intake process, the review queue, or the public-facing portal — and use it to drive the conversation.

Before you start

You will need:
  • The client’s RFP, task order, SOW, or solicitation document
  • A BlueGenAI account and an active project
  • Optionally: the client’s branding (hex color codes or a style guide URL)

How to generate a prototype from a solicitation

1

Create a new project

Open BlueGenAI and click + Create Project. Name it for the client or pursuit. Select Web Application as the project type.
2

Upload the solicitation document

Click the Files icon in the toolbar and upload the RFP, SOW, or task order. Include the full document — not excerpts.
3

Write your first prompt

Reference the uploaded document and describe the workflow you want to prototype. Be specific about the user, the outcome, and any constraints.Example:
4

Review the Draft App

Click the blue card in the chat to preview the generated Draft App in your browser. Review it against the solicitation requirements.
5

Iterate until it reflects the proposed solution

Continue prompting to refine, extend, or adjust. Each iteration updates the Draft App — you do not start over.
The Draft App generated in the Prototype tab is functional HTML code — not a static image or wireframe. It is one click away from becoming a fully deployed production application by switching to the Build tab. For BD purposes it is a working demonstration of the proposed solution.

How to generate proposal artifacts

The Prototype tab can generate written proposal artifacts as well as visual prototypes. These make strong proposal attachments.
1

Write a prompt requesting the specific document

Be explicit about what type of document you need and what it should cover.
2

Reference your uploaded solicitation for context

Attach the solicitation file using the 📎 icon so the agent generates content aligned to the specific requirements.
3

Save the generated file

Click the save icon on the generated file card. The document is saved to your project’s Files panel and can be downloaded for proposal attachment.

How to apply client branding

1

Open the Design System

Click the Design System icon in the toolbar.
2

Enter the client's colors

Input the client’s hex color codes. If the client has a published style guide or design system, reference it by URL in a prompt.
3

Apply

Changes apply immediately across the Draft App. Applying the Design System does not consume credits.

How to share a prototype with a client

1

Open the Manage Collaboration panel

Click the 👤 collaboration icon in the top-right corner of the workspace.
2

Enable Shareable Link Access

Toggle Shareable Link Access to On.
3

Copy and share the link

Copy the shareable URL and include it in your proposal email or follow-up communication. Recipients must be logged in to BlueGenAI to view the link.
4

Disable after review

Return to the Manage Collaboration panel and toggle Shareable Link Access to Off after the review period ends — especially for prototypes based on sensitive solicitation materials.

How to download a prototype for offline demo use

1

Open the Files panel

Click the Files icon in the toolbar and locate the Draft App file.
2

Download the file

Click the download icon on the file card. The downloaded file includes embedded styles and scripts — it renders correctly offline without a network connection.
Always test the prototype URL and confirm it loads before a client meeting. If presenting offline, test the downloaded file on the same machine you will use for the presentation.

BD demo preparation checklist

1

Review the solicitation

Read the RFP, SOW, or task order before generating anything. Understand the client’s mission, the key requirements, and the evaluation criteria.
2

Create a project and upload the solicitation

Create a new BlueGenAI project and upload the full solicitation document.
3

Generate a focused prototype

Prototype one key workflow — the intake process, the review queue, or the primary user-facing screen. Keep it focused and polished.
4

Apply client branding

Open the Design System and apply the client’s colors. If the client has a published design system, reference it in a prompt.
5

Test before the meeting

Open the prototype URL and confirm it loads. Prepare a shareable link and a downloaded offline backup.
6

Disable the share link after review

Once the review period ends, disable the Shareable Link Access toggle in the Manage Collaboration panel.

BD tips

  • Use Requirement Folders for multi-module proposals. Organize the prototype by capability area so you can walk the client through each section.
  • Generate realistic placeholder data. Ask the agent to populate the prototype with realistic sample data so it looks like a live application during demos.
  • The Prototype tab uses significantly fewer credits than the Build tab. Do all BD and pre-sales work in the Prototype tab — only switch to Build when development begins.
  • Reference the SOW directly. Upload the solicitation and prompt the agent to work from it. This demonstrates understanding and saves time.

Phase 1 Path B — Stakeholder Alignment

Not responding to a solicitation? Use Phase 1 to align stakeholders before development begins.

Phase 2 — Requirements Refinement & CAB

After award — develop structured requirements for the build phase.
